PenManifest is an online market that showcases the work of local Canadian artists and craftspeople.

Based in Lethbridge, Alberta, PenManifest began in 2025 to offer services in online marketing, product staging, inventory management and sales.

Our Aim is to provide a safe and mutually beneficial forum for both our artists and customers to connect.

It is a frustrating thing these days. The big box retail outfits have all but crushed the local craftsperson. Every shopping mall has the same stores as the last and most of the products are factory made imitations of the next brand over.

It’s nearly impossible to shop for a unique gift that you can be sure no one else has. Or to add a personal touch to your decor that is not the same as every other decor out there. Sure, there are some online platforms to browse for original works; but is what you are getting really what they posted? Is it truly handmade? And by whom? And why is this “local” product made in another country?

At PenManifest all of our offerings have been personally reviewed and selected by one of our curators. You can be confident that your purchase is an authentic creation and is true to what you have been presented.

You are an artist. A creator! You have a talent for something amazing and you love doing it. Your friends and family tell you how great your product is and that you could really market your gift.

Yet it never works out that way. Sure, there are online venues to post on, and once a year you do a weekend sales event. It always goes the same way: Pay the venue to have a spot. Work for months to build up inventory. Show up early to set up and then spend the weekend under a blazing sun trying to make a sale. A few things move but its mostly just people browsing. A few things got damaged or stolen and most of your sales were in the last few hours. Sold at a severely discounted rate just so you can recover the expense of what you paid for the venue in the first place.
